Machine learning techniques have become more and more widespread in various engineering topics. One of the most common uses of deep learning is in Image Processing. Usually, these solutions are developed using python. However, since the 2017a version of Matlab, the Machine Learning toolbox offers capabilities for this powerful and popular tool too. Tasks of the student include familiarization with the aforementioned toolbox and the development of some demo image processing solutions using Matlab.
