In 2025, following the recommendation of the professional committees of the National Scientific Student Association Council (OTDT), IIT’s habilitated associate professor István Harmati was among those awarded the Pro Scientia Supervisor Gold Medal. The award, established in 1997, is given to those who have performed outstandingly successful work as a supervisor and in the field of science organization for years, in promoting scientific activity that goes beyond the acquisition of the mandatory curriculum and is implemented in scientific student associations, or in other forms of self-education.
