Description:
Digital twins are virtual models of physical buildings, systems, and processes. This project is about creating digital maps of a space and registering multiple map modalities with each other in the context of industrial automation. The student will gain experience with 3D map creation, map conversion, geo-alignment, as well as meshing, with a target application in location-based augmented reality.
