With previously used methods, high-quality requirements were met through highly accurate and redundant sensors. Meanwhile, solutions based on community data collection aim to meet this requirement by utilising lower-quality data that is available in large quantities.

A similar trend can be observed in solutions based on visual information for building databases. One example of a study that aimed to exploit these possibilities is "Building Rome in a Day," which provided a solution for three-dimensional modelling of Rome's landmarks based on visual data available on the internet.

The student's task is to explore solutions based on community data collection using visual information, as well as to review the problems associated with such techniques and the solutions offered for them.
